This market refers to the cricket match between Chandigarh Lions and Himachal Pradesh scheduled for October 26 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin for themselves. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, information advantages held by traders, or simply variations in how each source assesses the likelihood of various outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts, providing a dynamic assessment of expectations. The market's efficiency relies on informed traders and active participation, leading to a potentially more accurate forecast than static odds offered elsewhere.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Ranji Trophy match between Chandigarh Lions and Himachal Pradesh, as reported by official sources. The market will then settle to reflect which outcome occurred, paying out to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official announcements for the final result to understand when the market will be finalized.
Several factors could influence this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions affecting the match could significantly shift trader sentiment. Performance in preceding matches, expert analysis, and even public opinion could also play a role. Unexpected events during the match itself, such as a key player getting out early or a sudden change in momentum, will likely cause rapid adjustments in the market price as traders react to the unfolding situation.
