In the upcoming Ranji Trophy cricket match between Bengal and Maharashtra, originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each group interprets the available data. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially regarding late-breaking news or shifts in public sentiment surrounding the Ranji Trophy match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the market's implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts dynamically, providing a constantly updated assessment of the event's potential results. The current price indicates what traders, as a group, believe is the fair chance of the outcome occurring in the Ranji Trophy match.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Ranji Trophy match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the tournament organizers. The market will determine whether the match concludes in a draw, or if one of the teams emerges victorious. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final, official outcome of the match as reported by trusted sources following the completion of play.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the Ranji Trophy match concludes. Unexpected weather conditions impacting play, key player injuries affecting team performance, or even significant shifts in team form based on earlier matches in the tournament could all cause the odds to change. Any news regarding pitch conditions or strategic changes announced by either team could also prompt traders to reassess their positions, leading to increased volume and price fluctuations. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market.
