Description

This market refers to the cricket match between Baroda and Bihar scheduled for October 18 2026 at 12:00 AM ET in Ranji Trophy. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market will remain open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Frequently asked questions

Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds reveals how public sentiment differs from professional oddsmakers. Often, prediction markets can incorporate information more quickly than traditional sportsbooks, particularly regarding factors not easily quantifiable. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one team, but this market shows a more balanced probability distribution, it suggests traders believe the contest is closer than initially perceived. Discrepancies can also arise from differing risk appetites between market participants and bookmakers.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares reflects the market's collective probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price moves based on supply and demand; if many traders believe Baroda will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase. Conversely, if sentiment shifts towards Bihar, those shares will become more expensive. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and expectations.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Baroda vs Bihar match as declared by the relevant governing body for the Ranji Trophy. The platform will then determine the winning outcome based on the official results, and payouts will be distributed accordingly to those who correctly predicted the result of this market.

Several signals could significantly move this market. Any news regarding key player injuries, changes in team composition, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions would likely influence trading activity. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic decisions made by team management could also shift sentiment. Furthermore, performance in preceding matches or any controversies surrounding either team could impact the market’s assessment of their chances in the Baroda vs Bihar match.
