Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, potentially incorporating a house edge, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each exact score. If a significant discrepancy emerges between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders possess information or insights not yet fully priced into the sportsbook lines. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each exact score. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the collective sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring; a higher price indicates greater confidence in that particular result. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market constantly adapts to new information and changing perspectives.
