In the upcoming Ligue 1 game between Racing Club de Lens and Olympique Lyonnais, scheduled for October 9, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Racing Club de Lens vs. Olympique Lyonnais match originally scheduled for October 9, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise from differing levels of information, biases, and risk appetite between prediction market participants and sportsbook customers.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score, and the price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of its probability. As more shares are traded, the price converges towards what the market believes is the fair value. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, meaning that if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of its participants.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Racing Club de Lens versus Olympique Lyonnais match will determine the winning share(s) in this market. Any official data source widely recognized for sports scores will be used to verify the result. The resolution process is designed to be objective and transparent, ensuring that all traders receive a fair and accurate payout based on the actual event outcome.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly shift expectations. Pre-match analysis from reputable sports analysts and commentators, as well as any updates on player form, could also impact the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even significant tactical decisions announced before kickoff, could all contribute to price movements. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the likelihood of each possible exact score has the potential to move this market.
