PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms utilize the same resolution criteria, focusing on second-half goals (including stoppage time) and employing a consistent hierarchy of data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The team with more goals scored in the second half (including stoppage time) wins.
  • If both teams score the same number of goals in the second half, the market resolves to a draw.
  • The market is suspended if the game is postponed and resolves to a draw if the game is canceled.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • No Goals Scored: If no goals are scored in the second half by either team, the market resolves to a draw.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
Timing: Resolution will occur once the second half of the match (including any added stoppage time) has concluded and official statistics are available, or within 24 hours using the defined fallback sources. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect a different kind of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective predictions of traders. This can lead to discrepancies, as prediction markets are often more sensitive to new information and less susceptible to biases inherent in sportsbook modeling. However, both offer insights into the perceived probability of different outcomes.
