In the upcoming match between Racing Club de Lens and Olympique de Marseille, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Racing Club de Lens" if Racing Club de Lens are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Olympique de Marseille" if Olympique de Marseille are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Ligue 1 (https://www.ligue1.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by professional oddsmakers, while this market is driven by individuals making their own predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, especially regarding late-breaking news or changes in team conditions, leading to a potentially more accurate assessment of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likelihood of either team scoring first in the second half.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the outcome will be determined by which team – Racing Club de Lens or Olympique de Marseille – scores the first goal in the second half of the match. The result will be based on official match data, ensuring a transparent and objective resolution process. Any potential disputes will be addressed based on widely accepted football rules and regulations.
Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to resolution. Late injury reports for key players on either team, changes in weather conditions that might favor one team’s playing style, or even tactical adjustments announced by the managers could all shift market sentiment. Significant news regarding team morale or internal conflicts could also play a role. Unexpected lineup changes or even pre-match comments from players or coaches could trigger trading activity and move the odds in this market.
