In the upcoming match between Racing Club de Lens and Olympique de Marseille, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Racing Club de Lens" if Racing Club de Lens are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Olympique de Marseille" if Olympique de Marseille are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Ligue 1 (https://www.ligue1.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome, while this market allows for more direct probability assessment. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it may indicate differing opinions on the likelihood of a particular outcome. It's also common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or late-developing insights.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, reflecting the evolving collective forecast. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand between traders on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the outcome will be determined by which team – Racing Club de Lens or Olympique de Marseille – scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against trusted sports news sources. The market will settle to 100% for the team that scores first, and 0% for the team that does not.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Racing Club de Lens or Olympique de Marseille would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also shift expectations. Furthermore, unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even late-breaking news about team morale or internal conflicts, could all impact the perceived probabilities and therefore the price of shares in this market. Public sentiment and analyst predictions can also play a role.
