Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, it might indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that there's an arbitrage opportunity for informed traders. It’s common to see initial differences that narrow as the event approaches and more information is incorporated into both types of odds.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd and adjusts in real-time as new information emerges.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Querétaro FC versus Atlante FC second half is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team scored more goals during the second half of the match, or if the result is a tie. The platform will then verify the result against official sources to finalize settlement and distribute payouts to winning traders. It’s important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team lineups, injuries to key players on either Querétaro FC or Atlante FC, or changes in coaching strategies could shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions or referee announcements might also play a role. Furthermore, significant betting activity – a large influx of volume – could indicate informed traders have a strong conviction about the likely outcome, causing the market to react accordingly. Monitoring these signals can provide valuable insights into potential price movements.
