This market assesses whether specific quarterbacks will rank among the highest scorers in fantasy football for a given week, using a points-per-reception scoring system that rewards both passing and rushing performance.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the named quarterback finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points among all quarterbacks for Week 6 of the 2026 Pro Football regular season. Scoring includes passing, rushing, and receiving stats with specific point values per yard, touchdown, and other achievements, as defined by Sleeper's default full-PPR system. Players who do not participate that week are considered to have scored zero points. In cases where multiple players tie for the fifth position, contracts are settled pro rata based on the number of tied players, with each receiving a fraction of the payout equal to 1 divided by the total number of tied players. All rankings and point calculations are determined by Sleeper at the market's expiration.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd,' often diverging from initial sportsbook lines as more information and opinions are incorporated. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing a quarterback’s chances, they can trade against that line on Kalshi, potentially driving the prediction market odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. This dynamic can lead to more accurate predictions over time compared to static sportsbook offerings.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether a particular quarterback will be in the top 5. The price of each contract reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the quarterbacks' potential performance. Higher demand for a contract drives up its price, indicating a greater perceived chance of success, while increased selling pressure lowers the price. This creates a dynamic and responsive market for forecasting NFL quarterback performance.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final NFL rankings for Week 6 quarterback performance will be used to determine which quarterbacks finished in the top 5. The resolution will be based on standard fantasy football scoring metrics, and the results will be sourced from widely recognized and trusted sports data providers. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Kalshi once the outcome is officially determined and verified.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Injury reports are a major catalyst, as the potential absence of a key quarterback would dramatically shift probabilities. Unexpected changes in team dynamics, such as a new offensive strategy or a shift in receiving targets, could also impact a quarterback’s projected performance. Furthermore, any news regarding quarterback matchups – for example, a particularly favorable or challenging defensive opponent – could lead to increased trading activity. Finally, late-breaking news regarding weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances could also move the market as traders adjust their expectations.
