Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. If a large number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price will move accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. This market’s pricing represents the collective wisdom of the crowd.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence of the participants.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Pysmennyi Yevhen vs. Cherevko Roman match. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
