Prediction market odds often differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks, reflecting the 'wisdom of the crowd' versus the opinions of professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and ensure profit, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook underestimates a team’s chances, the prediction market odds will likely move in the opposite direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been traded on Polymarket.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Psim Yogyakarta or Borneo Samarinda will score first. As more shares are traded, the price of each share adjusts to reflect the collective probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability; a share priced at 60 means there's a 60% chance of that outcome occurring, according to the traders on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team is officially recorded as scoring the first goal in the Psim Yogyakarta vs. Borneo Samarinda match. The official match records will serve as the definitive source for determining the winning outcome of this market. Any disputes will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures for verifying event results.
Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement in this market. Late-breaking news about player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could all shift traders’ expectations. Significant betting activity from large traders could also cause noticeable price swings. Furthermore, any updates regarding the overall form of either Psim Yogyakarta or Borneo Samarinda, or analysis suggesting a change in their likelihood of scoring first, could impact the probabilities reflected in this market on Polymarket.
