Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to collectively express their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to note that prediction market odds can be more volatile, especially closer to the event, as new information emerges and trading volume increases.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of Ninomiya/Zhang winning against Hozumi/Klepac. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market collectively believes is the true probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability, based on the share price, is 100.0%%. Higher trading volume generally leads to more accurate price discovery.

Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or updated match analysis from tennis experts could impact trader sentiment.
