This market will resolve according to the player that is officially announced by the New York Giants to be the starting quarterback in Week 7 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. In the event that no starting quarterback is officially announced by the team, this market will resolve in favor of the listed quarterback who takes the field on the New York Giants' first offensive play. In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the New York Giants' Week 7 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the quarterback who first directly receives a snap in the game. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the quarterback whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If Week 7 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after November 8, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the New York Giants; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and often incorporate a margin for profit, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both venues. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information, such as injury reports or coaching announcements, than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular quarterback, the price of those shares increases, indicating a growing belief that they will be the starter. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of those trading.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Giants’ official starting quarterback for Week 7 is announced and verified against credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official team announcement, and any subsequent changes or clarifications will be considered. The market will determine which outcome—which player starts at quarterback—is most accurately predicted by traders on Polymarket before the game begins.
