Only games designated by the NFL as Week 8 of the 2026-27 regular season count. If Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past November 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in scrimmage yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Often, prediction markets can provide more accurate forecasts, especially when there's significant public information available. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes be more readily available and cover a wider range of potential outcomes. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular player leading the league in scrimmage yards. The price of each share directly reflects the probability of that player winning, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more shares purchased for a player, the higher their price rises, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adjust based on new information and changing sentiment among traders.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final NFL scrimmage yard statistics for the 2026-27 regular season are verifiable from credible public reporting. The player with the most scrimmage yards (rushing yards plus receiving yards) at the end of the regular season will be declared the winner. The official NFL statistics will serve as the definitive source for determining the outcome of this market, ensuring a transparent and accurate resolution process.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a major catalyst; if a leading contender is sidelined, their odds will likely decrease, benefiting other players. Preseason performance and training camp reports can also shift expectations. Unexpected trades or changes in team offensive schemes could alter a player’s projected role and yardage potential. Finally, any significant news regarding player health, coaching decisions, or rule changes could influence trading activity and move the odds in this market.
