This prediction group asks which NFL player will have the most rushing yards in Week 8 of the 2026-27 regular season. Multiple markets exist, one for each potential player, and a market for 'another player'.
This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most rushing yards. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 8 of the 2026-27 regular season count. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more rushing touchdowns in Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher yards per carry average in Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available NFL statistics for completed games. If Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past November 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in rushing yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Each market corresponds to a specific player competing to attain the highest rushing yardage across all professional football games in Week 8 of the 2026 season. If the designated player records the most rushing yards, that market resolves to Yes. If the player does not participate in any game during the week, the market automatically resolves to No. In cases where multiple players tie for the highest rushing yards, the payout is divided equally among all tied markets at a rate of 1/N, where N represents the number of players sharing the lead. No holders of tied markets will receive the full $1 payout; instead, each receives $1 minus the Yes payout amount. These rules apply uniformly across all individual player markets, ensuring consistent resolution criteria for each participant.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and risk assessment, while this market’s prices are driven by individual traders buying and selling contracts based on their own research and beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information and adjust prices more rapidly than sportsbooks in response to breaking news or changing circumstances surrounding the players in this market.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi may differ due to variations in user base, trading activity, and market design. Polymarket currently favors Will Jahmyr Gibbs finish Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most rushing yards? at 100.0%, while Kalshi leans toward Bucky Irving: most rushing yards in Pro Football Week 8 at 95.0%. These differences can also stem from varying liquidity levels on each platform; a larger volume on one platform can lead to more stable and potentially more accurate pricing. Additionally, each platform attracts different types of traders, influencing the overall market sentiment and price discovery process for the 2026-27 NFL rushing yards race.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The player with the most official rushing yards recorded in Week 8 of the 2026-27 NFL season will be considered the winner. Official NFL statistics will be used to determine the final result. The resolution process ensures a transparent and objective determination of the outcome, based on publicly available data. Trading will cease prior to this date, allowing for a final price to be established before the official results are known.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market before it resolves. Player injuries are a major catalyst, as the potential loss of a key running back would dramatically shift probabilities. Pre-season performance and training camp reports can also influence trader sentiment. Changes in team offensive strategies or coaching decisions could also move the market. Unexpected trades or free agent signings could further alter the landscape. Any news related to player health, team dynamics, or offensive schemes could lead to shifts in volume and price for this market.
