Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and real-time adjustments from traders. It’s common to see discrepancies as new information emerges, such as player injuries or changes in team strategy. Examining these differences can highlight where the crowd believes sportsbooks may be over or underestimating a player’s chances.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player's likelihood of winning the NFL rushing touchdowns race. The price of each share fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability distribution. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe a particular player will succeed, the price of their shares increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants.

This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the NFL’s official statistics will be used to determine the player who has scored the most rushing touchdowns by the end of the regular season. The player with the highest number of rushing touchdowns will be declared the winner, and shares in that player’s outcome will be worth 100% of their face value at resolution.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a major catalyst; if a leading contender suffers a setback, their odds will likely decrease. Changes in team offensive schemes or the performance of opposing defenses could also shift the market. Unexpected breakout performances from lesser-known players could also drive up their share prices. Keep an eye on weekly game results and injury reports, as these will be key indicators of potential movement in the NFL rushing touchdowns race.
