Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe a particular player will outperform expectations, the odds for that player will shorten here, potentially offering a better value than available at sportsbooks. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing information or risk assessments.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s efficiency depends on active participation and the quality of information available to traders.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Pre-season performance, including training camp reports and exhibition games, will provide early indicators of player form. Injuries to key quarterbacks are likely to cause substantial shifts in the odds. Major trades or free agent signings could also alter the landscape. As the season progresses, weekly performance, changes in offensive schemes, and even weather conditions will all contribute to fluctuations in the probabilities assigned to each player. Unexpected breakout seasons from lesser-known quarterbacks could also drive significant movement.
