On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular player winning the NFL scrimmage yards race. As more shares are purchased for a player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share represents the implied probability of that player leading the league in scrimmage yards at the end of the season. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly adapt to new information and changing expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the NFL’s official statistics will be used to determine the player with the most scrimmage yards at the conclusion of the 2026-27 regular season. The player with the highest combined rushing and receiving yardage will be declared the winner of this market. Any ties will be resolved according to the NFL’s official tie-breaking procedures.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries are a major catalyst, as the absence of a key contender would shift probabilities. Strong or poor performances during the season will also cause fluctuations, especially for players who are closely ranked. Unexpected changes in team offensive schemes or coaching decisions could also influence a player’s opportunities to accumulate yards. Finally, any news regarding player trades or suspensions could lead to substantial price movements in this market.
