This market will resolve according to the team that remains without a single loss the longest during the 2026-27 NFL regular season. Ties do not count as losses. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed team to be the last team remaining without a loss, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams suffer their first loss on the same day, or if multiple teams finish the 2026-27 NFL regular season without a loss, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team that played the most games before recording its first loss, regardless of the number of ties recorded by those teams. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team with the greater strength of victory in all games, and then the tied team with the greater strength of schedule in all games, as those terms are used in the NFL's official tie-breaking procedures (https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures). If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team whose full team name, as listed in this market, comes first alphabetically. The "Other" option will not be considered in these tie-breaks. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 24, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the team that remained without a loss the longest cannot be determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL (https://www.nfl.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who have 'skin in the game'. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public perception differs from informed analysis. Often, prediction markets are seen as a more accurate reflection of true probabilities, though sportsbook odds still provide a valuable benchmark for comparison when considering the potential for an unbeaten NFL team.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a specific team will finish the 2026-27 NFL season without a loss. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a team, the price increases, indicating growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price, suggesting decreasing belief in their chances. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and collective judgment of participants.
This market resolves around Jan 10, 2027, following the conclusion of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. The outcome will be determined by identifying whether any team completed the season with a perfect record – that is, without any losses. Verification will be based on the official NFL standings and confirmed through credible public reporting. The team with the best record at the end of the regular season will be the basis for determining the outcome of this market, and the winning shares will be redeemed accordingly.
Several factors could significantly impact the odds in this market. Early-season performance of top contenders will be a major driver, with surprising wins or upsets causing shifts in probabilities. Key player injuries, particularly to quarterbacks or other star players, could dramatically alter a team's chances. Changes in coaching staff or significant trades could also influence market sentiment. Finally, any news regarding rule changes or potential disruptions to the NFL season could introduce volatility and move the market as traders adjust their expectations.
