In the upcoming EFL Championship game between Preston North End FC and Millwall FC, scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Preston North End FC vs. Millwall FC match originally scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, incorporating a profit margin, while this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. This can sometimes lead to more accurate probabilities, as the market aggregates diverse perspectives and information. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price converges towards a value that represents the implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people buy shares of a particular score, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Preston North End FC vs. Millwall FC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score determined by official sources will be used to determine which shares payout. The resolution process relies on publicly available data to ensure an objective and transparent outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for the match result as the resolution date approaches, as this will dictate the final settlement of this market.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in formation could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions on match day might also impact the likely scoreline. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators and analysts could sway market sentiment. Even late-breaking news about player morale or tactical adjustments could cause price fluctuations. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market before it resolves.
