This set of markets tracks the total points scored by both teams in an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a different point threshold, allowing participants to speculate on whether the combined score will exceed various benchmarks.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the Presbyterian vs Stetson college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a specific point threshold (ranging from 39.5 to 79.5 points); if the combined score exceeds the threshold, the market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets will resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to openly buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the total points scored. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the price on Kalshi will move accordingly, potentially offering better value than what’s available at a sportsbook. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders submit buy and sell orders for contracts representing different total point ranges. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective prediction of all participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The closer the game gets, the more the price will likely converge towards the actual total points scored, as traders refine their estimates. The market’s price represents the probability of the total points falling within a specific range.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the Presbyterian versus Stetson game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The market will settle to 100 for the contract corresponding to the actual total points scored, and 0 for all other contracts. Traders holding winning contracts will receive a payout based on the market price at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Presbyterian or Stetson would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest a high-scoring or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Additionally, updates on team strategies or coaching decisions, as well as any public analysis of the teams’ strengths and weaknesses, could all contribute to shifts in the price of contracts on Kalshi.
