PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict use identical resolution criteria regarding the timeframe (90 minutes + stoppage time), the definition of first goal, and fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score during the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If neither team scores within the specified timeframe, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponement delays resolution; cancellation resolves to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 (or 'Draw' where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the match's conclusion, contingent on the availability of official or fallback data sources. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket and Predict, this dashboard tracks the probability of either Portugal or Norway scoring the first goal in their upcoming match. Currently, Polymarket shows a strong consensus view, with a chance percentage of approximately 97 for neither team to score first. However, it’s important to note that volume remains low at $1,912, suggesting limited trading activity across both platforms. This page aggregates data from both venues to provide a comprehensive overview of the Portugal vs. Norway first goal market, allowing users to compare perspectives and make informed predictions.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market’s prices are driven by real money at risk. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public sentiment diverges from expert opinion. Typically, prediction markets are known for their accuracy, sometimes even surpassing sportsbook predictions, but this isn't always the case, and both can provide valuable insights when evaluating the potential outcome of the Portugal vs. Norway match.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict may differ due to variations in user base, trading volume, and platform-specific rules. Polymarket currently favors neither team to score first at approximately 97, while Predict leans toward Norway to score first. These differences can also arise from varying levels of information available to traders on each platform, or simply differing interpretations of the same information. Furthermore, the liquidity of this market – currently at a volume of $1,912 – plays a role, as lower volume can lead to greater price volatility and divergence between the two platforms.
