In the upcoming UEFA Women's World Cup Qualification game between Portugal and Northern Ireland, scheduled for October 13, 2026 at 2:15 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Portugal vs. Northern Ireland match originally scheduled for October 13, 2026 at 2:15 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, whereas this market represents the aggregated beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual outcome of the Portugal vs. Northern Ireland match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more shares are traded, the prices adjust to reflect the collective wisdom of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and insights.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Portugal vs. Northern Ireland match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football authorities. The market will determine which exact score was the correct result of the game. Traders who correctly predicted the final score will be paid out according to the share price at the time of resolution. It’s important to monitor news sources leading up to the resolution date to stay informed.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Portugal or Northern Ireland would likely impact the odds. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced by the coaches could also influence trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could play a role, as could any pre-match analysis from reputable football experts. Even public opinion, as reflected in polls or social media, could contribute to shifts in the market as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
