In the upcoming EFL Championship game between Portsmouth FC and Millwall FC, scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Portsmouth FC vs. Millwall FC match originally scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular score is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price will move accordingly. This can lead to discrepancies, potentially offering opportunities for informed traders. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when there’s asymmetric information or strong community knowledge.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the probability of that score occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point where buyers and sellers agree. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand—if more people believe a particular score is likely, they’ll buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing system aims to accurately reflect the collective forecast of the market participants.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Portsmouth FC vs. Millwall FC match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the exact final score of the game, as reported by official sources. The platform will verify the outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the final score. Traders should monitor official sources for the confirmed result as the resolution date approaches.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly impact predictions. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from sports analysts and public polls could shift trader sentiment. Even late-breaking news about player form or tactical changes could cause fluctuations. Monitoring these signals and assessing their potential impact on the game's outcome is key to understanding how this market might move.
