This market will resolve to "Houston Dynamo" if Houston Dynamo score more goals than Portland Timbers in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Draw". Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals wagering their own capital, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as new information emerges. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when public perception diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment of the game. Examining these differences can highlight areas where the crowd believes there's value.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific result, the price increases, and vice-versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the odds closely align with the perceived probability of each outcome. The market's efficiency is driven by the incentive for traders to identify and capitalize on mispriced opportunities.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result of the second half of the Portland Timbers versus Houston Dynamo match will be used to determine the winning contract. The outcome will be based on the official result as reported by the league, and will be verified against credible public sources. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result of the match.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Timbers or Dynamo would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or extreme heat, could also impact the expected game dynamics. Furthermore, tactical adjustments announced by either team's coach, or even in-game events like a red card, could all contribute to movement in this market as traders react to the evolving situation and reassess probabilities.
