This market will resolve to "Houston Dynamo" if Houston Dynamo are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Predict, tends to more closely reflect the true probabilities as perceived by a diverse group of individuals. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by factors like public betting patterns and promotional offers, potentially creating differences in implied probabilities compared to what’s seen here.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team, if any, scores the first goal in the Portland Timbers versus Houston Dynamo match. If neither team scores during regulation or stoppage time, the 'Neither team to score first' outcome will be considered the result. The resolution will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Timbers or Dynamo would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also impact trader sentiment. Additionally, any significant pre-match analysis from respected soccer analysts or unexpected lineup announcements could contribute to movement in this market. Overall team form and recent performance will also be heavily considered by traders on Predict.
