In the upcoming MLS game between Portland Timbers and Colorado Rapids SC, scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Portland Timbers vs. Colorado Rapids SC match originally scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly as the event approaches. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. However, initial sportsbook lines can sometimes influence early movement in this market, and discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments or information available to each group. It's common to see convergence as the event draws nearer, but this market can offer a distinct perspective.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand – if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy contracts for that outcome, driving up the price. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism creates a real-time probability assessment, reflecting the aggregated beliefs of all participants. The more volume traded on a particular outcome, the more confidence the market has in that result.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Portland Timbers versus Colorado Rapids SC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact final score, as officially recorded by the league, will determine the winning contract(s). Any potential adjustments or official rulings regarding the match will be taken into consideration to ensure an accurate resolution. Traders who correctly predicted the final score will be eligible to receive payouts based on the odds at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Major news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or tactical changes for either the Timbers or Rapids could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions at the match venue could also play a role, potentially impacting the style of play and influencing scoring. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or pre-game polls, could lead to increased volume and price fluctuations in this market. Keep an eye on team news and expert predictions leading up to the game.
