In the upcoming MLS game between Portland Timbers and Charlotte FC, scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Portland Timbers vs. Charlotte FC match originally scheduled for October 24, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly closer to the event date. This is because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd, incentivizing participants to make well-informed predictions. However, sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and may adjust them based on betting action. It’s common to see discrepancies between this market and sportsbook lines, especially in the early stages, as each reflects different information and biases. Examining both can offer a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief of the traders regarding the probability of that score occurring. As more people buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a market-making algorithm to ensure there's always a bid and ask price, facilitating continuous trading and price discovery for this event. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Portland Timbers versus Charlotte FC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score reported by official sources will be used to determine the winning contracts. Any delays in official score reporting may impact the resolution time, but the platform will work to finalize the market as quickly as possible following official confirmation. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct final score will receive a payout.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Timbers or Charlotte FC would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is expected, could also impact the market. Additionally, any significant tactical adjustments announced by either team's coach, or even unexpected starting lineup announcements, could lead to traders reassessing the likelihood of different exact scores. Major upsets in other MLS matches could also indirectly affect sentiment.
