Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and can provide a useful comparison point. It’s common to see differences in probabilities, particularly before significant events or breaking news impacts the perceived likelihood of outcomes. Discrepancies can arise from differing levels of expertise, biases, or simply the varying incentives of bettors versus prediction market traders. Examining both sources can provide a more comprehensive view of expectations for this market.
