Typically, prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect a more accurate aggregate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, whereas this market incentivizes participants to express their true beliefs. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing levels of information available to each group or differing risk appetites. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, potentially leading to odds that diverge from sportsbook offerings, especially as the event approaches.
