On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome—either Mickey Mansell winning or Arno Merk winning. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability distribution. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants in the market.
