Description

This market focuses on predicting whether either team will win the first period of an NHL game by a margin greater than 1.5 goals. It specifically tracks the performance of the teams within the first period, ignoring later stages of the game. The outcome depends solely on the score differential at the end of the first period.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on whether either Pittsburgh or Utah wins the first period by more than a 1.5 goal margin. If Utah achieves this margin, the 'Utah wins by over 1.5 goals' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Pittsburgh secures a win by more than 1.5 goals in the same period, the 'Pittsburgh wins by over 1.5 goals' market resolves to Yes. If neither team meets this condition, both markets resolve to No. Postponements that occur within 48 hours of the scheduled start time do not affect the market, as resolution is based on the eventual official result. However, if the game is cancelled or fails to start within the 48-hour window, markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants.
