These markets track how much either team wins by specifically in the final quarter of a college football game, focusing solely on performance in the last period of play. The outcomes depend entirely on the point differential achieved during the fourth quarter, ignoring any points from earlier periods or overtime.
All markets resolve based exclusively on points scored during the fourth quarter of the Pittsburgh vs Boston College college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026, with overtime points excluded from consideration. For markets specifying Pittsburgh winning by more than a set margin (1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points), resolution occurs only if Pittsburgh meets or exceeds that margin solely with fourth-quarter points. Similarly, markets for Boston College winning by more than a set margin (2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points) resolve based solely on fourth-quarter performance. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. No affiliation or endorsement by the NCAA is implied, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and a desire to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information and potentially offer more accurate probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, though discrepancies can occur due to differing market participants and risk assessments.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes of the Pittsburgh vs Boston College spread. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of the event's potential results. The current price indicates what traders believe is a fair price to pay for a contract that pays out if that outcome occurs.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final 4th quarter spread for the Pittsburgh vs Boston College game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their purchased contracts align with the actual spread at the end of the game. The final price will reflect the collective prediction of all participants leading up to the event.
