In the upcoming USL Championship game between Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Hartford Athletic, scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds vs. Hartford Athletic match originally scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' perspective, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or promotional offers. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the most likely outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply variations in opinion. Comparing the two can reveal insights into where the market believes there’s value, or where sportsbooks might be mispricing the probability of a particular final score.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective assessment of the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing expectations. The market depth – the number of shares available at different price points – indicates the level of conviction behind each potential outcome. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on real-time trading activity.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds versus Hartford Athletic match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the officially recorded result, as reported by a trusted sports data source. Once the final score is confirmed, shares will pay out according to their respective probabilities. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available, verifiable information to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Key player injuries or suspensions for either the Riverhounds or Athletic would likely cause shifts in the odds. Significant changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also impact market sentiment. Pre-match news regarding tactical approaches or starting lineups might also lead to adjustments in the probabilities. Even weather conditions on match day could play a role, especially if they are expected to significantly affect the style of play. Any information that alters perceptions of the teams’ chances of scoring could move this market.
