Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information sources and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced a team’s chances, the odds here will adjust accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts closer to the event date.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates, reflecting the collective assessment of the likelihood of either Phoenix Rising FC or Lexington SC scoring first. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team is officially recorded as scoring the first goal in the Phoenix Rising FC versus Lexington SC match. The official match records will serve as the definitive source for determining the winning outcome. Any disputes will be handled according to the platform’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.
Several factors could influence this market before the match concludes.
