These markets track the performance of both teams in a specific football game by measuring how many times each team's defense tackles the opposing quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. The outcomes depend on whether each team reaches various threshold levels of such tackles during the match.
All markets resolve based on the official number of sacks recorded by each team during the Philadelphia vs Washington Pro Football game scheduled for Nov 1, 2026. Sacks during 2-point conversion attempts are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market has a specific threshold for each team (e.g., 2+, 3+, etc.), and if the team's total sacks meet or exceed that threshold, the corresponding market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and perspectives that might not be immediately factored into traditional sportsbook lines. While sportsbooks set initial odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to odds that diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. It's common to see prediction markets react quickly to news and developments, potentially offering different probabilities than those available elsewhere. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities of an outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Washington or Philadelphia will record 2+ sacks. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to aggregate information and adjust probabilities in real-time.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official game statistics are verifiable from credible public reporting. The number of sacks recorded by each team during the Philadelphia versus Washington game will be the determining factor. The market will settle based on the official statistics released by the NFL, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result. Traders will then be paid out or have their contracts adjusted based on whether their predicted outcome aligned with the final game results.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key defensive players on either team, particularly those known for generating sacks, would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or wind, could also impact the ability of teams to rush the passer and affect sack totals. Unexpected coaching decisions or shifts in offensive strategies could also play a role. Finally, general sentiment and analysis from sports commentators and analysts could sway traders’ opinions and drive price fluctuations.
