In the upcoming matchup between Philadelphia and Washington, the first team to cross the goal line for a touchdown will determine this market. Touchdowns can come from any part of the game, including overtime periods, and any scoring method counts towards the result.
The market resolves based on which team scores the first touchdown in the Philadelphia vs Washington Pro Football game originally scheduled for Nov 1, 2026, including touchdowns scored in overtime by offensive, defensive, or special teams plays. If neither team scores a touchdown during the entire game (including overtime), the market titled “No team scores a TD” resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but begins within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official final result. If the game is not started within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time, the market resolves to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by experts. Sportsbooks often incorporate biases or seek to balance their risk, while this market aggregates the diverse perspectives of many traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – both prediction market prices and sportsbook odds will adjust. However, prediction markets often become more accurate closer to the event, potentially offering a more refined probability assessment than traditional betting venues.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices converge to represent a collective prediction. The market depth – the number of buy and sell orders at different price levels – indicates the level of agreement among traders about the likelihood of each player scoring first. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for real-time adjustments based on new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team scores the first touchdown in the Philadelphia versus Washington game. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and play-by-play data. The outcome will be determined by the official game results, and any disputes will be resolved based on widely accepted sports reporting and data sources. The market will then settle accordingly.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding injuries to key offensive players on either team, particularly the starting quarterback or running backs, would likely cause shifts in probabilities. Changes in weather forecasts – such as heavy rain or strong winds – could also impact the expected game plan and scoring opportunities. Late-breaking news about player matchups or coaching strategies could also move the market. Finally, significant betting activity itself can drive price changes as traders react to new information or adjust their positions.
