This market focuses on predicting whether either team will dominate the opening period of an NHL game by scoring at least 2 more goals than their opponent. The outcome hinges solely on the performance in the first period, ignoring any later developments in the match.
The event determines if either Philadelphia or Tampa Bay wins the first period by a margin of more than 1.5 goals. If Tampa Bay achieves this dominance, the corresponding market resolves to Yes; if Philadelphia does, its market resolves to Yes. Both markets share secondary rules: overtime in the third period is excluded from consideration, and if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the market remains active and resolves based on the official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within this window, all markets resolve to a fair price.
