This market tracks whether specific players achieve a double-double in an upcoming NBA game between Philadelphia and New York. A double-double occurs when a player records at least 10 in two of five statistical categories—points, rebounds, assists, steals, or blocks—during the game. The outcome depends on individual player performance rather than the overall game result.
The market resolves to Yes if any of the specified players—Karl-Anthony Towns, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, Jalen Brunson, Joel Embiid, or Josh Hart—records a double-double in the Philadelphia vs New York Pro Basketball game scheduled for October 20, 2026. A double-double is defined as reaching 10 or more in two of the five main statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, within a single game. If a player is inactive or does not take the court, the market settles to a fair price. Once a player enters the game, resolution is based on whether they achieve a double-double. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game is canceled or does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the likelihood of a double-double. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a significant amount of trading occurs. These differences can arise from varying information sources, analytical approaches, or simply differing opinions about player performance. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of a double-double occurring. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability. As more traders buy contracts, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of the event happening. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, reflecting the aggregated beliefs of all participants. This creates a real-time assessment of the likelihood, distinct from static odds offered elsewhere.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on official NBA statistics confirming whether a player on either the 76ers or the Knicks achieves a double-double—scoring at least ten points in two statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, or blocks)—during the game. The official game statistics will serve as the definitive record for determining the market's outcome. No further information is available regarding the specifics of the resolution process.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market. News regarding player injuries or changes to starting lineups for either the 76ers or the Knicks would be significant. Unexpected announcements about player rest or altered game strategies could also impact the perceived probability of a double-double. In-game performance during earlier matchups of the season, or recent statistical trends for key players, might also sway trader sentiment. Any information that alters the assessment of a player’s likelihood of achieving a double-double could lead to price fluctuations.
