This set of markets focuses on whether both Philadelphia and Jacksonville will reach various scoring thresholds by the end of their game. Achieving these point totals would indicate a high-scoring affair, reflecting offensive performance and defensive challenges faced by both teams.
These markets resolve if both Philadelphia and Jacksonville each score at least 14, 21, 28, or 35 points in the game originally scheduled for Oct 11, 2026, including points scored in overtime. If the game is postponed but begins within 48 hours of its originally scheduled start time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game is not started within 48 hours, the markets will resolve to a fair price. Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house biases or initial public perception. While sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows a broader range of participants to express their views, potentially leading to a more accurate forecast. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges, as traders continually update their assessments based on available data and insights. Examining these differences can be valuable for informed decision-making.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of both teams scoring. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. The closer the game gets, the more the price will likely move as new information, such as injury reports or weather forecasts, impacts expectations. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of the likelihood of both teams finding the endzone.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Key player injuries on either team, particularly to quarterbacks or key offensive players, would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, such as the prediction of heavy rain or strong winds, could also shift expectations regarding scoring potential. Unexpected news regarding team strategy or coaching decisions could also move the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public sentiment, as reflected in sports news and analysis, could influence trading activity and ultimately the price of contracts.
