These markets focus on the interplay between the first half and full game outcomes in a specific football match. They require matching specific conditions for both halves to determine the result, reflecting detailed predictions about game dynamics.
All markets resolve based on the combined results of the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the Philadelphia vs Jacksonville Pro Football game scheduled for October 11, 2026. For a market to resolve as Yes, both the specified first half result and the specified full game result must occur exactly as described. If either the first half or full game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original scheduled time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the markets resolve to a fair price. All markets are independent, each requiring a specific pairing of first half and full game outcomes to settle as Yes.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and opinions from traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments, public biases, or the influence of late-breaking news. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, potentially offering a more accurate gauge of event probabilities as game day approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and order flow provide insights into trader sentiment and expectations for the game’s result. The current price reflects the aggregated beliefs of all participants trading in this market.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Philadelphia versus Jacksonville game, including both the first half and full-time result, will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and records, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or fulfill their obligations based on the final outcome.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about team performance or significant shifts in public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analyses, could also cause price movements. Major upsets in other NFL games that week, or even broader league-wide trends, might also indirectly impact trading activity in this market, as perceptions of team strength evolve.
