Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe a particular result is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. This can sometimes lead to more accurate predictions, as the collective intelligence of the market weighs in on the probability of each scenario.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving collective assessment of the event’s likelihood. The market's price is determined by supply and demand; if more people buy shares in a particular outcome, the price rises, and vice versa.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on which team scores more goals in the second half of the Philadelphia Union versus Real Salt Lake match. The final score will be sourced from official match data and widely available sports news outlets.
