Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and internal analysis, while this market aggregates the predictions of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe one outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly before a lot of money has been traded, as the market discovers its own price based on collective insight.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the second half – whether the Philadelphia Union, the New England Revolution, or a draw – will be used to determine the winning shares. The platform will verify the official result and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the outcome. This process ensures a transparent and accurate resolution based on the actual event result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Union or the Revolution would likely cause movement. Significant changes in weather conditions, especially if they favor one team’s playing style, could also impact trading activity. Late-breaking news about team formations or tactical adjustments might also shift the market. Finally, large trades by influential market participants could create short-term price fluctuations as traders react to new information or positions.
