This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player finishes in the top 20 at the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship tournament, including ties. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If final results are not announced by November 14, 2026 at 7:00PM ET this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the PGA Tour website (https://www.pgatour.com/).
The event resolves for each golfer individually based on their final placement in the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship. If a golfer finishes in the top 20 positions (including ties), that specific market resolves to Yes. Withdrawal or non-participation before teeing off results in a Fair Market Price resolution, while withdrawal after teeing off leads to a No resolution. The event operates independently for each listed golfer, with no collective thresholds or dependencies between participants. All outcomes are strictly determined by official tournament results.
Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets incentivize accurate forecasting. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply variations in the participants. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, especially regarding player form or potential injuries, impacting the probabilities within this market.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Kalshi on the World Wide Technology Championship market can arise due to several factors. Differences in user base, trading fees, and market-making strategies all contribute to varying price discovery processes. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price movements, as smaller markets are more susceptible to individual trades. The differing approaches to risk assessment and information interpretation among traders on each platform also play a role in establishing distinct probabilities for the same outcomes. These factors create a dynamic environment where prices may diverge even when evaluating the same event.
This market resolves around Nov 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final leaderboard from the World Wide Technology Championship will be used to determine which golfers finished within the Top 20. The resolution will reflect the official results published by the PGA Tour, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for this market. Traders should monitor official sources for the final standings as we approach the resolution date.
Several factors could significantly impact the probabilities within this market. Any news regarding golfer injuries, changes in form during practice rounds, or even weather forecasts affecting course conditions could cause shifts in trader sentiment. Unexpected withdrawals from the tournament, or strong performances in preceding events, would also likely move the market. Furthermore, major announcements related to sponsorship or player endorsements could indirectly influence perceptions and trading activity, especially as we get closer to Nov 22, 2026.
