This prediction group asks which golfer will lead after the first round of the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship. Resolution depends on the lowest cumulative score to par, with tiebreakers based on back nine score, eagles, birdies, bogeys, and then alphabetical order of last name.
This market will resolve according to the player that finishes Round 1 of the main tournament at the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship with the lowest cumulative score to par. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the player with the lower score on the back 9 of the first round. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player that records more eagles thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player who records more birdies thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player who records fewer bogeys thus far in the main tournament. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship is cancelled, postponed after November 21, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if an official Round 1 leader has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the event organizer or governing body.
All markets resolve based on whether the specified golfer is the sole leader after Round 1 of the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship. If multiple participants share the top score, "Yes" positions receive $1 divided by the number of tied leaders (rounded down to the nearest cent), while "No" positions receive the remainder of the contract value. The markets are independent and operate under these standardized resolution rules, with no official affiliation to the PGA or its trademarks.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by the collective predictions of individual traders. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than sportsbook odds, especially when there's significant volume. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and often offer promotional incentives. Comparing the two can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the probabilities involved in determining the first-round leader of the World Wide Technology Championship.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi may differ due to variations in trader demographics, market liquidity, and the specific rules governing each platform. Polymarket currently favors Will Jordan L. Smith lead the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship following the first round? at 99.0%, while Kalshi leans toward Jordan L. Smith leads at the end of Round 1 at 9.1%. These differences can also arise from differing levels of information available to traders on each platform, or simply from random fluctuations in trading activity. Furthermore, the fee structures and trading limits on each platform can influence price discovery and lead to discrepancies in the odds for the World Wide Technology Championship leader.
This market resolves around Nov 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The golfer leading after the first round of the World Wide Technology Championship, as officially reported by the PGA Tour, will determine the outcome of this market. Trading will cease once the official results are available, and the winning outcome will be determined based on the official leaderboard. The resolution process ensures a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
