Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of an albatross being scored at the World Wide Technology Championship. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn’t yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It’s a useful comparison to consider when evaluating potential value.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether an albatross will be scored during the World Wide Technology Championship. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts, providing a real-time assessment of the market’s collective prediction. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for a share that pays out if an albatross is made.

This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether an albatross – a score of three under par on a single hole – is officially recorded during any round of the World Wide Technology Championship. Official tournament results will be used to determine if an albatross occurred, and the market will settle accordingly. The final result will be based on the official scoring records of the PGA Tour event.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding course conditions at the World Wide Technology Championship, particularly those affecting the difficulty of specific holes, could shift the odds. The performance of key players known for aggressive play or exceptional shot-making ability could also impact the market. Unexpected weather conditions, such as strong winds or heavy rain, might also affect the likelihood of a low score on a single hole. Finally, any significant changes in player participation due to injury or withdrawal could also move this market.
