This group forecasts which golfers will finish in the top 20 at the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open. Each individual market asks whether a specific player will achieve this result, with resolution based on the official PGA Tour results.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player finishes in the top 20 at the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open tournament, including ties. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If final results are not announced by November 7, 2026 at 7:00PM ET this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the PGA Tour website (https://www.pgatour.com/).
All markets resolve based on whether the specified golfer finishes in the top 20 positions (including ties) at the conclusion of the 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open. If a golfer forfeits, withdraws, or otherwise does not participate in the tournament, the market resolves to Fair Market Price if the withdrawal occurs before the player tees off their first shot, and to No if the withdrawal occurs after teeing off. These rules apply uniformly across all individual golfer markets in this event.
Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own research and insights. As a result, prediction market prices can sometimes be more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. The difference between these odds and sportsbook odds can also indicate potential value for arbitrage opportunities.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for the Mexico Open Top 20 market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and fee structures, all of which influence price discovery. For example, Polymarket currently favors Will Kihei Akina finishing in the Top 20 at 50%, while Kalshi leans toward Blades Brown finishing top 20. Differences in liquidity and the volume of trading on each platform can also contribute to price discrepancies. These variations present opportunities for traders to exploit arbitrage if they believe the prices are misaligned.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before the tournament concludes. Any news regarding a golfer’s health, form, or potential withdrawal would likely cause price fluctuations. Unexpected weather conditions at VidantaWorld could also shift probabilities, as certain players may excel or struggle in specific conditions. Live leaderboard updates during the tournament will be a major driver of price movement, especially as players approach the cut line or contention for a top-20 finish. Major upsets or strong performances from underdogs could also create substantial shifts in the market.
