On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a golfer finishing in the Top 5. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the field. Higher demand for shares in a particular golfer will drive up their price, indicating increased confidence in their performance. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and evolving expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results published by the PGA Tour, determining which golfers ultimately finished within the Top 5. The market will then settle to 100% for the winning outcome(s) and 0% for all others. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will receive a payout based on the final price of those shares.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding golfer injuries, changes in form during practice rounds, or even weather forecasts impacting course conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected withdrawals from key players would also likely cause price adjustments. Major announcements about course modifications or changes to tournament rules could also play a role. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of a golfer finishing in the Top 5 has the potential to move this market before Oct 25, 2026.
