On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each golfer’s likelihood of leading after the first round. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that golfer being the first-round leader. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust, reflecting the evolving collective forecast. Higher demand for shares in a particular golfer will drive up their price, indicating increased confidence in their chances.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the golfer who holds the lowest score after the completion of the first round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be declared the winner of this market. The official leaderboard published by the PGA Tour will serve as the source for determining the first-round leader, and the resolution will reflect that official result.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in weather conditions at Port Royal Golf Course, or adjustments to a golfer’s playing schedule could all cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected performance in practice rounds or early tournament play could also influence trader sentiment. Furthermore, late withdrawals from the tournament or significant changes in betting activity at sportsbooks could lead to adjustments in this market as traders react to new information and reassess probabilities for each golfer.
